So f*cking awesome. This is the real shite. It's bloody breathtaking. I'm crying, and right now I feel all ragey and mopey and cheesy and stuff. I woke up at 4 a.m. in the morning to finish this. And it's really really worth it. This is the best book I've ever read this year, so far.
SPOILERS!!!
My favourite characters are.. all of them! Everyone had such unique personalities which made them stand out. But my particular favourites would have to be..
Rhysand. The High Lord of the Night Court intrigued me so, so much. At first, I saw him as this very eviiiiil person who's siding with Amarantha. That's why I'm suddenly surprised when he helps Feyre (in exchange for something, of course.) More so when he helps Feyre win the Second Trial. Clever way of cheating there, Rhysand. I liked his dark, brooding personality and his power. He saved Feyre in some way, and with that Rhysand is the newest addition to my list of the Hottest Guys Ever.
Nesta!!! OOOOH, NESTA NESTA NESTA. At first she reminded me of Sansa Stark, selfish and utterly obsessed with etiquette and morals and boring stuff about being a proper lady blah blah. All that was important to her was new boots. She doesn't even do the work, Feyre does. She didn't stop the beast (which we will later know as Tamlin) from taking her sister! But then, when Elain revealed that Nesta actually looked for her and actually traveled to The Wall. Nesta understands. Nesta knows. So cool.
Tamlin. Of course TAMLIN. He's this mysteriously generous guy who takes Feyre away. *me being suspicious bc prisoners arent to be treated like that* YAS YAS YAS YAS! I kind of only slightttly assumed that he was The High Lord of the Spring Court. In the end, he acted intelligently to save both him and Feyre. Kudos for killing Amarantha.
Feyre. Of course, how could I forget the badass gal who stars this story? I'm a bit disappointed, though, She was Katniss Everdeen-badass at the forest, but at the manor she was this stupid human. WHY??? But she kind of made up for it because she was badass at the trials. I cried when she stabbed Tamlin. BECAUSE HOW CAN I NOT, OFC? And I really really cried when she solved the riddle. LOVE. LYK HOW CANI FORGETTT?!?!?!
I'm sorry I can't write a proper review because Rhysand probably shattered my brainz and I'm very emotional because how can I not be emotional? This book is awesomesauce. Great world building, awesome characterisation. There wasn't a dull moment in here. Nice twists.
I'm waiting for the second and third book (anything but patient, of course)
NICE TITLE THOOOOOOOUGH!
