Actually a 3.5, but kinda more on the three. More on the cute but meh side.
But don't get me wrong, it's actually a good book. It's quiet and perfect if you're searching for a light and quick read. I laughed a lot, and I wasn't at all bored when I read this book because it's really something. I guess I gave it a three because there are a few things off about this book.
MY PROBLEMS WITH THIS BOOK
1.) Sam's strange similarity with Quentin from Paper Towns. And, I DO NOT like Paper Towns. Whenever I read, I shudder involuntarily as I recall the many times I have attempted to like Paper Towns like the vast majority of this world.
My reaction:

Quentin vs. Sam
Nerd = Nerd
Has two other friends = Has two other friends
Tall stick figure = Tall stick figure
Hopelessly in love with girl = Hopelessly in love with girl
Friends think he's weird = Friends think he's weird
Antisocial = Antisocial
2.) The slooooooooowness of this book
Basically, nothing happens until the last ten percent. Aaaand, (view spoiler) REALLY. When I pass an interesting page or two, I sadly hope that THIS IS FINALLY THE MOMENT IT BEGINS. But, nuh uh. The only time I got something really interesting was at the last five percent. In short, calling all impatient people, don't read this. You will just rip your hair off in annoyance. But, if you are at least a bit patient, it might be good to hang around 'till the end.
Me until 95%

But still, the jokes were a plus to get me going.
3.) The title

It's been ten hours since I finished this book but the title seems meh to me.
WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THIS BOOK
1.) CAMILLA CARTER.
My ideal Camilla Carter (this girl is Hailee Steinfeld. She played Emily in Pitch Perfect 2 and Petra Arkanian in Ender's Game.)

She has this cool rocker journalist dad (although kind of distant). She has this fashionista mom (although also kind of distant). She writes lyrics about donkeys. She plays the piano flawlessly. She plays a lot of instruments. Is smart. Is classy. Is pretty. Is nice. Is cool. (Evidence: Coming as f*cking Jabba the Hut on the Spring dance. Also, getting love interest signed George Lucas Star Wars illustrated copy on eBay. Also, meeting a batallion of famous rock stars. Also, Princess Leia hair.) There is nothing to hate about Camilla Carter. She is awesome.
2.) The easiness amongst the characters
There are a lot of jokes. A lot. My particular favourites are the ones about Adrian and Mike and Sam. They're so comfortable around each other, and they always make up after a fight easily. I'd kill for that kind of friendship (although my friends and I are exactly like that already)
My final verdict, though:

Buuuut, if you're impatient and want a lot of badassery, I won't recommend this one since it's light and cute and kinda quirky. But if you're really a sucker for romance, I guess it's okay.
